Doing our bit to make the world a better place is what makes us tick at Tyl. That’s why we provide funding to a wide range of charities operating across the UK through our Giveback Community Fund. One charity we support that helps people during some of their most desperate moments is the Lily Mae Foundation.
Operating in tragic circumstances
The Lily Mae Foundation supports parents and families after a stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination. Despite their frequency, there’s still very limited public understanding of the devastating impact of these tragic events on parents and their families and friends. The foundation is here to help and break the taboo associated with the loss of a baby.
To do that, it offers a comprehensive range of support programmes to bereaved parents, their families and their friends, and also to medical and social care professionals.
How Tyl is helping
Our donation to the foundation helps it provide:
- memory boxes for bereaved parents and memory-making kits for grandparents
- sibling support packs
- counselling for parents, siblings and family members
- a one-to-one baby-loss support service
- relevant information to parents, families and health care and medical professionals.
- training and support for midwives, student midwives and neonatal nurses
- research into the prevention of baby loss.
The Lily Mae Foundation operates in heartbreaking circumstances, and we’re glad the money we provide can make the lives of people who have suffered a devastating loss a little bit easier.
