Why are the offers, rewards and business profile products no longer available?
We wanted to give Tyl customers some excellent 'added value' services, but unfortunately the take-up was quite low. With the high cost of maintenance and support for these features, we had to take the difficult decision to stop offering these services.

When will Tyl Rewards (the offers and rewards programmes) be shut down?
As of 30th January 2025, Tyl merchants will no longer be able to sign up to Tyl Rewards.
For customers already registered, Tyl Rewards will be switched off on 22nd April 2025.
Will I still have an active business profile within the Tyl Rewards app?
No, the Tyl Rewards app will be switched off on 22nd April 2025.
When will my business profile be removed from the Tyl Rewards app?
Your business profile will remain in the Tyl Rewards app until its closure on 22nd April 2025. If you wish to remove your profile sooner, head to the Tyl Portal > Business Profile > Hide my business profile.
Will you offer this product again in future?
We're working on new features for Tyl, but we can't guarantee you'll see something like 'rewards and offers' again.
When will the Tyl Rewards app be closed down?
The Tyl Rewards app will be shut down on the 22nd April 2025.
Can I launch a new Tyl Rewards loyalty scheme or offer for my customers between now and the product closing?
As the service is being decommissioned on 22nd April 2025, you should avoid setting up any new schemes or offers. Instead, concentrate on wrapping up the ones you may have in place already.
Also, if you're not already signed up to the Tyl Rewards service, you won't be able to join after the 30th January 2025.
What will happen to my customers' loyalty points or unclaimed rewards after the 22nd April deadline?
Any points not redeemed before the service closes on 22nd April will be lost. We have notified everyone who uses the Tyl Rewards app, so they can finish earning points and redeem them with you, before the shutdown.
Can customers still redeem my offer before the deadline?
Yes, customers will be able to redeem all live offers before the 22nd April 2025 deadline.
Do I need to do anything, or will my offer or loyalty programme be closed for me?
If you have any posters, stickers or flyers displayed relating to Tyl Rewards or your offers, please take them down before 22nd April 2025. Also remove any mention of the offers from your website or emails.
We'd also recommend chatting to your customers, in case they have any questions. We'll notify them of the shutdown via email and the app.
The shutdown itself will be taken care of by our technical teams, so you won't need to do anything
Will I still be able to view the data from my old rewards/offers after the product closes?
You can view the performance data until the 22nd April shutdown. After that, the relevant pages will be removed.
How will my customers be notified that they have until 22nd April 2025 to redeem the Tyl Rewards points they have accumulated?
Tyl Rewards app users will get an email and a message in the app to tell them that the app will be closing down and that they have until the April 2025 to redeem any rewards they have gained.
What will happen to any Tyl Rewards points my customers have accumulated or unclaimed rewards if not redeemed by the deadline?
All points and rewards will be removed on the 22nd April 2025 shutdown, so points/offers need to be used before then or they will be lost.
Your customers can even earn new points/rewards up until the deadline (assuming your offer is still active), however all points will expire on 22nd April 2025.
Can I decide to end my Tyl Rewards offer or loyalty programme before the switch-off?
Yes, as a Tyl merchant, you can close your loyalty programme or offer before Tyl Rewards is closed down on 22nd April 2025. Your customers will have up to 60 days to redeem their points before the 22nd April closure.
The deadline for redeeming points is 60 days from the closure of the offer/loyalty scheme or 22nd April, whichever comes first.
